Since the 1920s, many health experts together with  Dr. Otto Wartburg have been talking how cancer actually loves sugar.  Many doctors in fact don’t tell their cancer patients that if they continue eating processed foods full of sugar, they will actually have more difficult time fighting this modern disease.

The German leading biochemist,  physiologist,  medical doctor, and Nobel laureate was sure that we could stop cancer in our body. This is something that could significantly change the game even it may not always be that easy.

His theory was that cells that generated energy via adenosine triphosphate (ATP) through a nonoxidative breakdown of glucose (sugar) actually cause malignant cells and tumor growth. The recycling of the metabolite from this process called glycolysis and the circulation of adhA back into the body caused anaerobic respiration. This is the opposite of what happens with healthy cells.

Non-cancerous or healthy cells generate energy for the body to use through the oxidative breakdown of pyruvate. It is the end product of glycolysis, which can lead to oxidized mitochondria. He therefore made a conclusion that cancer was really a mitochondrial dysfunction. The normal process of oxygen respiration in the body is changing into the fermentation of sugar. If you completely remove the sugar from your diet, the body should not develop cancer.

Almost every one of us can easily remove the evident culprits that are “abundant” of refined unhealthy sugar – cakes, cookies, candies, etc. The problem is that a lot of packaged and sold foods in the world, US and in other countries, are simply full of refined sugar. That type of sugar is hiding in the packaging labels. Products like ‘healthy’ cereals, yogurt, whole wheat or whole grain breads, and even ‘low-calorie’ items can be in fact full of sugar.

The simplest and very easy way to make disappear unwanted refined and unhealthy sugars is to stop buying pre-packaged or ‘convenience’ foods. For a certain period of time, avoid eating out at restaurants. Many dining establishments source their food from big companies. Those companies ‘season’ their food with lots of salt and sugar. The purpose is to make it more eatable after being frozen and after the shipping process across the country in trucks. Even the salad dressings can consist too much sugar. To deal with cravings for sugary foods, increase your plant-based and healthy animal based proteins. Eat more nutrition-packed foods and less red meat or no red meat at all.
