How To Remove The White Patches or “Vitiligo” On Your Skin

Vitiligo is a condition in which individuals, on different parts of their skin, deal with white patches. This is unpleasant aesthetic issue, and for many people it represents their worst nightmare.

Science has still no answer to what causes vitiligo but the appearance of white patches affects self-confidence. Health experts say it may occur as a result of an automotive disorder. In this process, a person’s immunity literally attacks cells that produce melanin. It is also a matter of excessive exposure to sun, genetic predisposition, lack of vitamin B12, chronic stress, superficial fungal infections like tinea versicolor, eczema and psoriasis.

White Patches

Here are few natural remedies that will enhance your skin condition, but before applying any of the solutions below, make sure you consult your doctor.

Ginger

Ginger compounds stimulate blood circulation and melanin production. Slice a fresh ginger root, and apply the slices on the affected skin area. Leave them on until they dry. Do this 1-2 times a day for 2 weeks. You can also juice a piece of ginger, and combine it with fresh mint leaves. Drink this spicy juice every day for few weeks.

Ginkgo Bilboa

Gingko bilboa, due to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, can affect the development of this condition. It can also stimulate re-pigmentation. You need 40-80 mg three times a day. But, consult your doctor for the exact dose that would work best for you.

Apple cider vinegar – natural remedy to fight white patches

Its antifungal properties help in the treatment of vitiligo. It also helps in cases of low stomach acid that is connected to Vitiligo. Combine equal parts of water and apple cider vinegar. For entire month apply the solution on the affected skin areas twice a day. Before your meals you can also drink a glass of water with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in it.

Be more careful about what you consume. Avoid berries because they act as natural depigmentation agents. Eat more foods high in vitamin B12. This means more cabbage, spinach, dried beans, walnuts, dried figs, and chickpeas. Consider increasing the consumption of foods rich in zink and folic acid. You do not want to eat seafood and red meat.

Turmeric

Combine turmeric with mustard oil. You need a cup of mustard oil and 5 teaspoons of turmeric powder. Apply the mixture twice a day for about a year on any discolored area. You can also combine neem leaves with  turmeric powder and make a thick paste. Use it on the skin you are treating.

Neem

Neem cleanses blood and boosts immunity when we consume. Crush a few neem leaves and add some butter milk. Use just enough to make a paste mixture. Apply the paste on your white patches, and let it act until it has dried completely. Rinse well and for couple of weeks repeat the treatment. You can also use neem oil, but first mix it with a teaspoon of coconut oil. You can use other oils as well, not only coconut oil. Drink this juice every day for several months, or before your meals, just eat 4 neem leaves 3 times a day.

Babchi / Psoralea cory-li-folia

In fresh ginger juice soak its seeds for 3 days. Make sure you use fresh juice every day. To remove the husks rub the seeds between your hands. Let them dry in the sun, and then grind them into powder. To a cup of milk add 1 gram or a fifth of a teaspoon every day, for about 40 days. You can use baby chi oil on your white patches, and then  for 15 minutes expose them to direct sunlight. You can start off with a shorter duration, and then determine what time is best for you.

Red clay

Red clay is rich in copper and it restores your natural skin pigment. Simply combine it with fresh ginger juice, and use equal parts of both ingredients. Apply the mixture on your white patches, and leave it on until completely dry. Rinse off. Repeat the treatment every day, for 2 months.

Radish seeds

You need 25 grams of radish seeds. Grind them into very fine powder, and stir in 2 teaspoons of vinegar. On any affected skin area apply the resulting paste, and let it do its magic for about 30 min. Rinse off with lukewarm water and for several months repeat the treatment every day.

Copper

Copper stimulates the production of melanin. Take a copper container, fill it with water, and at room temperature let it rest overnight. Drink the water before you eat or drink anything in the morning,. During the night the container releases copper ions, and supports natural production of melanin.

Coconut oil

Organic coconut oil relieves chronic inflammation and soothes skin inflammation. This provides a healthy re-pigmentation process of the skin. Apply some coconut oil onto the affected skin area three times a day for 2 weeks.
