The Unbelievable Process on Cows from the Agriculture Industry
The staple of the agriculture industry all around the world are cows. These animals have become one of the most profitable commodities. Nowadays, farmers are developing a lot of new practices to ensure the highest quality of dairy products and meat. But do they ask themselves how far is too far? This is in fact the question that they should ask when it comes to these practices.
Fistulation is the current process that they use. This process actually involves removing a chunk of the abdomens of cows to expose their stomachs. Then they fit them with a plastic ring to hold their flesh open. Farmers and agricultural industry claim it’s for health reasons but this process is nothing but absolutely deplorable. They are mutilating living things and without any doubt they are causing them huge stress and discomfort at the very least.
The claim is actually that this process of fistulation can improve the health of cows by allowing for the transfer of microbes from one cow to another. However, these cows are meat and dairy cows undergoing this procedure. The meat and dairy industries are the primary beneficiaries of this procedure. They rely on the slaughtering of the animals, not the prolongation of their lives.
Watch the following video which describes the process that agriculture industry makes:
Treating animals in this manner simply goes to show that the agriculture industry definitely needs reform. These animals are not pieces of machinery and they are not our playground for experimentation that can be drilled into and upgraded. Some people see this as a painless or harmless procedure. Others, from other hand, consider it mutilation and assert that it at the very least subjects the cows to prolonged discomfort.
What do you think about the process of fistulation? How bad is it for these animals?
