Here is How to Prepare Healthy Almond Milk!
Homemade Healthy Almond Milk is ideal replacement for the milk that we consume on daily basis!
If your organism is (or become) lactose intolerant or you simply don’t want to consume milk of animal origin, this Almond milk is the best solution for you! It’s really easy to prepare! Beverage with low calories but in same time rich in vitamins. Almond milk in fact doesn’t contain cholesterol or saturated fat! It is rich in omega 3 fatty acids that are good for your heart. Nutritional composition of almond milk makes an ideal food for those who want healthy diet and want to lose weight on healthy way.
Almonds are actually rich in vitamins and minerals (Vitamin E, manganese, selenium, magnesium, zinc, iron, sodium, phosphorus and calcium.
What we need for Healthy Almond milk?
- 100 g unsalted almonds
- 1 l water
- 3 tablespoons agave syrup or 6-7 dates
First put all almonds in water (the water should just cover them) and then leave like that by night (10-12 hours). Next day gently wash all almonds and peel them. We actually recommend to peel them, because they contain bitter substance that is not really tasty to consume. These kinds of almonds actually release nutritious enzymes that are very good and useful for making alkaline environment in the body.
Next step is to put them in a blender with agave syrup or dates (you don’t have to sweeten it; this is optional step but dates give really nice taste and they contain a lot of sugar) and add water. When you are done with mixing (2-3 minutes) put the milk in a bottle or a jar to settle. You will find small pieces of almonds in the milk. Strain it nicely and it’s done!
You can put it in refrigerator and consume it for 3 days. It goes great with muesli, cookies, Soft Coconut Muffins, and different desserts.
Advice: Instead of agave syrup or dates, you can simply add little vanilla sugar or cinnamon. It tastes great as well!
One cup of homemade almond milk contains in average 60 calories.
