Plantain Syrup – A Cure For All Diseases Of The Lungs
Have you ever heard about plantain syrup?
Plantago minor and Plantago major – Plantain is a valuable medicinal plant. People neglected for long period of time but its time is yet to come. Although there is an existing natural syrup of thyme and plantain for decades, which is very effective in the case of a cough and lungs, in our research, the plantain has also shown some fantastic features when mixing with other medicinal plants.
In the folk medicine, people usually used Plantain externally for wounds and ulcers, for various kinds of inflammation and swelling. They used it as a tea or syrup, to dissolve phlegm, to facilitate expectoration, in the case of an ulcer of the bladder or stomach.
There is a small, male, and a female plantain in nature. They vary in the leaf and flower. You cannot be wrong whichever plantain you pick for the syrup. They differ a little in the taste, but their healing properties and chemical composition are exactly the same.
The best time to pick the plantain is in the summer and spring. It is the best time to put the leaves in a salad or in a blender in order to make juice. You can easily mix them with fruits and vegetables.
This plant has remarkable healing properties. One to two tablespoons a day are enough to make you shine with energy and health .
How to make a plantain syrup? Read the following traditional recipe
All patients suffering from diseases of the lungs, difficulties in breathing, in the case of pulmonary tuberculosis, cough and in the case of excessive mucous secretions in the chest should consume the plantain syrup.
Take a 5- liter bottle with a wide neck, and place on the bottom 2-3 cm freshly harvested and well-pressed plantain leaves. Over them pour about 1 cm dark sugar and again a layer of well-pressed leaves.
This procedure with layers of sugar and leaves continues until the bottle is completely filled.
Leave the bottle covered overnight. The content of the bottle shrink during the night so the next day you should fill it until the top again in the same way. Repeat this until the bottle is fully completed.
The next step is to dig a hole your garden, close the bottle with a triple layer of parchment paper or protective cellophane. Then place it in a pit, and cover it gently with a plank. You can additionally put some bricks over it.
Finally, cover the rest of the pit with soil. To mark the place, put another plank over it.
The next step is patience! The bottle should remain three months. The leaves with sugar excrete juice in the form of plantain syrup. The contents of the bottle boil in the form of plantain syrup on an equal heat with the soil. Take the bottle out after 3 months and strain all the content of the well, and boil the so- obtained plantain syrup plantain once more.
You should not strain it through a fabric because such an incomplete draining will leave too many remains unused. Put the resulting syrup in bottle and close it well.
Consume one tablespoon a day!
