Dates are products of the date palm. It belongs to the family of Arecaceae.  People believed that this tree originates from ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. Date palm grows under warmer climates across all the continents.

They are also great source of sodium, calcium, iron, phosphorus and zinc. They also contain vitamins like riboflavin, folate, thiamin, niacin, vitamin A and vitamin K.
