- 1 large head cabbage, chopped

- 1 envelope (1 ounce) dry onion soup mix
- 2 green bell peppers, diced
- 2 quarts tomato juice
- 10 stalks celery, finely chopped
- Chicken broth or bouillon (optional)
How to prepare Cabbage Soup?
Place carrots, tomatoes, onions, peppers, cabbage, green beans and celery in a large pot. Add onion soup mix, chicken broth, tomato juice and enough water to cover all vegetables. Simmer until vegetables are soft and tender. It will take around 20-25 minutes to simmer on low heat. This recipe is for 15 servings because the cabbage fat burning soup may be stored in the refrigerator for several days.
You can make it with or without chicken broth. It’s optional and if you chose to put chicken broth think to add beef broth next time to change flavor. If you stay on vegetable soup, it’s also extremely delicious!
